Rock 'N' Decor's Journey to the Stars: RDGLDGRN hat giveaway

June 23, 2016 was the next show in my concert schedule and it was to see RDGLDGRN at Lincoln Hall in Chicago. I had fallen in love with this band earlier this year after my friend saw them open for Foo Fighters last year in Washington DC. This was my first attempt to make something with the purpose of giving it to the band members. I wanted to incorporate song lyrics along with the colors associated with each member, Red, Gold, and Green.

I wasn't expecting to meet them, I was just planning on throwing the hats up on stage while they were performing. Little did I know, they would be walking around before the show. I glanced outside and spotted Red, then Gold, then Green, and I ran out there to say hello. They were so nice, so friendly. Their drummer Snaxx was also a lot of fun to talk to. I gave them their hats, and we took pictures. After we came back inside, Gold just came over and sat at our table at the bar and chatted it up with us for about a half hour. Such a sweet, down to earth, guy.

Then it was time for them to go on stage. I was front and to the right of the stage in front of Red, loving every minute of the show, when all of a sudden Green started a little "thank you" bit. He looked over at me, grabbed my hand and said "I also want to thank this lovely girl over here. She made me a hat, she made all of us hats. It's a beautiful thing." Or something along those lines. I was floored with shock! Green just gave ME a shoutout on stage while performing! I could not stop grinning from ear to ear. It just so happens that RDGLDGRN video recorded that performance so now I have proof and video of the whole thing. You can also see me dancing and singing throughout the concert too. It was amazing.

The next day, Green snap chatted saying thank you for the hat. I was really touched.
