We got to the Metro really early and stood in line all day in hopes of catching EODM before the concert. Our main goal, was to get to the rail first (front row). It was an exciting day watching the roadies bring in all the gear. I was joking around with one of the guys, and he asked if I wanted to help. I of course said yes, and jumped right in, hauling guitars into the venue. I was roadie for the day. I felt like hot shit, especially with my Jesse's girl hat on.
An hour or so later, EODM pulled up in front of the Metro, got out of their Uber car, and came right over to us, a group of about 10 people standing in line, to say hello. We gave them hugs, they signed our stuff, and they took pictures with us. Both Jesse and Dave loved my hat and thought it was so cool. Dave wanted me to give it to him. Right now, I would have in a heart beat, but back in May, I was still star struck and Jesse hat already signed it, so I was NOT giving it up. It was my first experience with such great feedback of my merch, and even more exciting because it was awesome feedback from rockstars. I was on cloud 9 for a good week after.
Here are some pictures and a video of Eagles of Death Metal 5/25/16 at Metro in Chicago.
