Staring at the moon-hat giveaway to Brick + Mortar

A big shout out and thank you to my friend Yvon for helping me spread some Rock 'N' Decor love to the guys of Brick + Mortar.  She helped me pick out the lyrics for the hats, and I love how they turned out.  Unfortunately, Yvon was unable to get a picture of them with the hats, but she said that they really loved them.

Stick to Your Guns- Merch giveaway to Sick Puppies

I was so stoked to hear that Sick Puppies would be back in the area again this year.  Last week, October 5, 2016, we saw them at District in Rockford, IL.  Sick Puppies has a very special place in my heart, they are my favorite band.  It was my 7th time seeing them, and my husband's birthday so we got VIP tickets which included a small private acoustic set and meet and greet.  I wanted to make them some merch, but they were the hardest ones to date to decide what to make them.  I was most nervous about giving them my stuff because I really wanted to impress them.  I kept going back and forth on whether or not I would make them anything at all.  Finally, about an hour before we had to leave, I made them the things I had planned, but even when I was there, I was still debating on whether I thought they would be good enough to give.  After the acoustic set, I decided that I would, and I'm so glad that I did.  They were the most gracious, most genuine people ever.  I could tell by their smiles and their thank yous that they really did like the gesture and the things I made for them.  Bryan, the lead singer, even said the hat was his new favorite hat, and put it on for the picture and wore it the rest of the VIP session.

RiotFest- Merch giveaways to Juliette Lewis and Chevy Metal

Riotfest Chicago 2016 was a festival I was looking forward to for months.  I really wanted to make Juliette Lewis a shirt as well as the guys from Chevy Metal-Wiley Hodgden, Taylor Hawkins, and Chris Shiflett.

With some help with some very good friends and sweet security guard, Wiley came down to meet me to get the shirts I made for them.  Wiley brought up the shirt to give to Taylor for me, and they were seen showing each other the shirts with big smiles on their faces on stage.  The security guard handed Chris' shirt to him for me.  He shot me a big thank you and then proudly displayed it so that it could be seen during the show.

Juliette Lewis was busy and unable to get away to come get her stuff, but she sent out one of her assistants to come and get it for her.

SoapStone-Merch giveaway to Jay Burlison

It's not just the big rockstars that get Rock 'N' Decor merch, it's the awesome up and coming rock and rollers who also get some love.

When I heard that my great old high school friend Jay Burlison, was going to be playing at Cornfest in Dekalb this year, I just HAD to make him a hat too.  His band Soapstone is one of the best coverbands I have heard.  They put cool twists on the songs and mesh them together so smoothly.  I was very impressed with how much they have grown over the years.  Keep an eye out for them, they are awesome.

Live Like a Warrior- Merch giveaway to Matisyahu

On August 21, 2016, I went to see Matisyahu perform at Sideouts Bar in Island Lake, IL.  He put on an amazing show.  After the concert was over, I mustered up the courage to see if I could get the Live Like a Warrrior hat I made for him.  I saw him backstage and asked the security guard if I could give it to him.  They wouldn't allow me to go backstage, but a guy who was backstage, told Matisyahu that I wanted to give him something, and he came over to me.  I gave him the hat and asked him if I could take his picture.  I wasn't expecting him to want ME to be in the picture with him, but I was touched that he liked it, wanted to wear the hat, and wanted to give ME a hug and take the picture with me.  He was very kind and I was honored.

Machine Head- Bush hat give

In August 2016, another hat was made to give to Bush.  A big shout out and thank you to Cathe Boyer for giving a Rock 'N' Decor hat to them at the meet and greet at the concert.

Urielectric- Brendan Urie Hat Give

Late July 2016, my friend Megan Roxx took her daughter to see Panic at the Disco and Weezer in Washington.  She was surprising her daughter with a VIP meet and greet and wanted to bring a hat to give to Brendan Urie.  She was shocked and was very excited to give him the Brendan.  He loved the hat and even wore it in their meet and greet picture.
